The London Region Development Team (LRDT) has secured limited funding to subsidise kayak/canoe training and development courses for those who live within, or who attend a club within, any of the London boroughs. Affiliated clubs and members of Canoe England or the British Canoe Union (BCU) can apply for a subsidy of fifty pounds (£50). Only one subsidy can be paid to any one individual or club. Whilst a club may only make one application on behalf of the club as a whole, individual members of that club may make personal applications to the LRDT. Subsidies are only available whilst funds last. The funding is available for training and development courses which have taken place after 1st September 2011. Applications may be made in advance, but a subsidy will only be paid on successful completion of the course (this must be within one year of application date) and if the LRDT is satisfied that the course meets the criteria outlined here and in the application form.
